The MEDIC AL 2000 inversion table is a certified medical device designed to support your spine, improve circulation, and bring deep relaxation. By gently tilting your body or moving into a safe inverted position, gravity works in your favor – helping to stretch the spine, relax tense muscles, improve blood flow, and relieve pressure on joints and internal organs.

Why try inversion therapy?
Everyday life puts enormous stress on the spine and intervertebral discs. Over time, discs lose water, become thinner, and may cause discomfort or pain. Inversion therapy helps counteract this natural process. When you spend a few minutes on the inversion table:
  1. The space between your vertebrae increases.
  2. Discs rehydrate and receive better nourishment.
  3. Your back muscles release tension.
  4. Circulation improves throughout your body.

This is why regular use can support spinal health and help slow down disc degeneration.

Additional benefits you might take advantage of:
✔ Relief from back and disc pain – by reducing pressure on nerves and the spine.
✔ Improved circulation – more oxygen and nutrients for your muscles, fascia, discs, and skin.
✔ Faster muscle relaxation – paravertebral back muscles let go of tension and spasms.
✔ Greater flexibility and mobility – the spine becomes more supple.
✔ Nervous system support – relieving nerve roots can ease radiating pain.
✔ Stress reduction – a deeply relaxing, meditative effect.
✔ Support for digestion and the liver – improved circulation to abdominal organs.
✔ A safe way to enjoy being “upside down” – perfect for yoga lovers and anyone curious about the benefits of inversion.

Important to know
The effects of inversion therapy are temporary – pain relief, better circulation, and disc hydration appear quickly but fade unless combined with healthy habits. For lasting results, we recommend regular sessions supported by:
  • targeted massage (including osteopathy and chiropractic techniques),
  • sound massage and relaxation,
  • healthy lifestyle choices,
  • guided movement with a physiotherapist or movement specialists.

🔬 What scientific studies say

Journal of Physical Therapy (2021)
– Patients with herniated discs who used an inversion table regularly were 50% less likely to need surgery compared to a control group.

Sheffield Trial (1985) – Inversion reduces muscle tension in the back, leading to quicker relaxation.

Cleveland Clinic
– Inversion therapy may temporarily relieve back pain, relax muscles, and improve blood circulation. It can reduce disc pressure, increase space for nerves, and improve mobility. Some studies suggest it may be effective in treating herniated discs and sciatica.

Additional studies:
  • Inverted Spinal Traction: An Evidence-Based Review (Journal of Chiropractic Medicine, 2012)
  • The Effect of Inversion Traction on Spinal Column Configuration, Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, and Perceived Discomfort (Physical Therapy, 1986)
  • The Effect of Inversion Traction on Pain Sensation, Lumbar Flexibility and Trunk Muscle Strength in Patients with Chronic Low Back Pain (Korean Journal of Pain, 2011)
  • Effect of Gravity-Facilitated Traction on Intradiscal Pressure (Physical Therapy, 1985)

When the inversion table is not suitable

The relaxation use of the inversion table is not suitable for everyone. It is not recommended in cases of:
  • high blood pressure, heart disease, history of stroke or heart attack,
  • glaucoma or increased eye pressure,
  • severe osteoporosis or recent fractures,
  • spinal instability, recent surgery, or spinal implants,
  • blood clotting disorders or anticoagulant medication use,
  • balance or inner ear problems,
  • pregnancy,
  • body weight over 120 kg.

The inversion table is suitable for people between 158 cm and 210 cm in height.

Before each session, we’ll talk with you briefly to understand your needs and see how inversion therapy can be combined with other massage techniques for the best possible results.
